We never knew that Pyrs were not supposed to make good service dogs. In fact we just got a second Pyr puppy last week because we had had such a good response from our current dog. I never expected such an independent, intelligent dog to be so readily socialized to people and still maintain their working skills, but after working with Charlie I can easily believe that a Pyr would make a fabulous service dog.
