Hey Val, this is Chris, Gretchen Gillis's ( Ivy Hill Jack Russell Terriers )husband. She and I are considering a Great Pyrenees in the very near future. How are they with the Jack Russells, and kids etc? Are there any genetic isues?

We are just starting our search. Any and all info you can share would greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.

This "Greeting" photo is so marvelous. Any pet owner that has had the gift of love from their pet - and the most sincere of enthusiastic welcomes from their pet knows how this feels. This photo illustrates the joy & pure love your pet can give you - the happiness they feel when their human returns. Whether it be from a day at work, an hour out - or a long trip away. Just look at his face. It says it all. LOVE.

What a girl!-I just had to put my Belgium Malinois down after 12 cherised years. We did everything possible but his quality of life and suffering was just nit fair to him and bordering on shelfish of me.
At 63 I am considering a smaller breed that is not overbred like many.
I also had GERMAN SHEPHERD for 10 years so this could possible be my last dog.
We have a lovely yard and home in a pet friendly community and always take our dogs through obedience training. Th Pyrenean seems to be a good fit as we want to be able to travel some without the inconvenience of a huge breed.Realistically I'm am not getting younger but still love to work with my pets--jogging walking frisbee etc.
Thought I would drop a line--Pepper is really toooooooooo cute.

Hi,
I'm having withdrawel symptoms! We are back home from a whirlwind of Pyr Shep activities! Thought I would revisit, now that I can link the site to your faces. We had a great time, and enjoyed meeting you all. The dogs are great! we'll be shopping one of these days.

Great to meet you both, MH.
