Thimble Farm Kennel is just south of Buffalo and Niagara Falls, New York. Although circumstances have caused us to cut back on our activities, we still enjoy sharing information on other's dogs, their dog activities, and helpful information on holistic care for your pet. The dogs still living here on the farm are correct to their standards, have excellent temperaments, and are working animals. Please give us a call at 716-652-7974 or email to valdavis@roadrunner.com to chat about Pyrenean Shepherds or Great Pyrenees. Hopefully, we can guide you to a breeder who can provide a healthy puppy or adult dog.

So, the very next day after posting the last Pyrenean Partners post – we got a bit of snow.  This always gets Boo! and Zilla all riled up – and I was able to capture a play session.  You can click on each photo to see a larger version.  Enjoy!

Zilla wants to play, Boo! looks a little annoyed at this.

It's On! Boo! makes his move, but Zilla is a little too quick!

Zilla is forced to engage her afterburners once again. It looks like she is on fire here!

Zilla isn't quick enough and gets taken down. The snow has given Boo! a speed advantage.

I have found that there are very few modern pictures of Great Pyrenees and Pyrenean Shepherd living together.  So, today I got the camera out and recorded some of their antics.  The Great Pyrenees is Boo! (CH Thimble Farm See No Evil) and the Pyrenean Shepherd is Zilla (Thimble Farm Fantome).  Zilla loves to chase things that you throw – and Boo! decided to give it a try – then he just decided to chase Zilla which is always an exciting event.  You can click on the photo to get a larger version.  Enjoy!

Zilla loves this game!

Boo! was pretty good at it too!

Pyrenean Chase

Chase time! Zilla turns on the afterburners and makes sharp turns - the only way to escape a Great Pyrenees bearing down on you!

Hello everyone, guest blogger Ross here (Valerie’s son).  I just wanted to post some photos of our Pyrs out here in Colorado.  Enjoy!

Great Pyrenees, CH Thimble Farm See No EvilThis is Boo! – CH Thimble Farm See No Evil – giving us a good look with his gentle eyes.

Pyrenean Shepherds - Smooth and RoughHere is a picture of Pepper and Zilla during Valerie’s visit to our house in early February.  This is a cool picture of the different coat types and color this breed can express.  Pepper is a smooth faced fawn, while Zilla is a rough faced, demi-long brindle merle.

Pyr themed onesies! Here are some cute Pyr themed onesies!  Iron on fabric and some creativity developed these.

Big news!  Pepper, Ch. La Brise Renardette, has accomplished another first!  She was the first Smooth Faced Pyrenean Shepherd Champion in the U.S. and now she has taken a Herding Group 3 at the Erie Kennel Club Dog Show in Erie, PA, on Saturday, January 30.  This makes her the first Smooth Faced Pyrenean Shepherd to take a regular group placement in the U.S.!!
